The Cuddle Zone Security
The Center is equipped with security cameras throughout the building. The lobby has a locked entrance. Access to classrooms is limited to those people on your emergency form. They must provide a photo ID in order to be admitted into the building. The doorbell is equipped with a camera that allows the classrooms to view the lobby area.
Admission
Enrollment is open to all children age 6-weeks through Kindergarten and a summer camp option for students who have completed grades K thru 5 provided the program can meet the needs of the child and space is available.
Please call the center to schedule a tour and receive an enrollment packet. Prior to your child’s start date you will need to complete the following:
- Registration fee of $50 per family
- Security deposit (equal to one week’s tuition) and first week’s tuition
- Signed contract
- Application & Emergency Contact/Parental Consent Form
- Copy of immunization records
- Health Appraisal Form and TB form (due within 30 days of start date)
- State Food Program Forms
- IEP Forms
Curriculum
The Cuddle Zone uses the Creative Curriculum as the foundation for learning, with classrooms that are hands-on, center-based, and aligned with PA Early Learning Standards. We integrate literacy, exploration, and STEM to spark curiosity, problem-solving, and confidence.
Within the first 45 days, every child receives a social-emotional screening, followed by ongoing assessments and portfolios to track progress. These are shared with families at twice-yearly conferences. Our program supports the whole child—cognitive, motor, social, and emotional development—through music, art, movement, and play.
Activities that Enhance Our Curriculum
Children may participate in a variety of activities offered at The Cuddle Zone Learning Center. At The Cuddle Zone we provide both indoor and outdoor learning experiences. So there is plenty of time for active play, as well as time to rest. Children have opportunities to learn and grow through:
- Social Interaction with Peers and Adults
- Creative Expression/Music and Movement/Dramatic Play: Dancing, Yoga, Instruments, Dress Up Items, Props including fantasy/occupations/housekeeping/leisure, Dollhouses with accessories
- Gross Motor Experiences: Large Outdoor Climber, hoops, balls of various types, trikes, ramps, ladders/steps
- Science and Mathematics: Nature items, Blocks with accessories, measuring tools, Geometric shapes sorters, cooking activities.
- Fields Trips: For School Age, Kindergarten, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten programs (All trips require parental permission and some may require a nominal fee.)
- Technology: Smart Boards, iPads, and computers will be used to enhance learning in all of the developmental areas by incorporating music, movement, and interactive activities using both fiction and nonfiction videos and photos into the daily curriculum.
- Language: Books, flannel board stories, listening stations, alphabet activities, and finger plays
- Fine motor/Manipulatives/Art: Sand, Water, Sensory Bins, Clay, PlayDoh, Model Magic, various writing tools, finger paints, tempera paints, watercolors, puzzles, lacing activities, and magnatiles.

We include Meals in Our Services
The Cuddle Zone provides nutritious meals that are prepared on site, and meet the U.S. Department of Agriculture standards for school food programs. Please call by 10 am if you will be late but, your child will be here by their lunch time. We provide the following:
- Meals, snacks, and beverages are included in our tuition rates for all children on table food
- We provide Similac Pro Advance and baby cereal to infants
- Whole milk is provided for children under age 2
- 1% milk is provided for ages 2 – 10
- We offer an afternoon snack in all classrooms
Meal times:
- We serve breakfast from 7:30 – 8:30am. Lunch times vary by age/classroom and will be included on your child's daily schedule.
- Due to specific diet restrictions, you may pack a cold lunch with acceptable components of a main item, fruit and vegetable. Milk will be provided.
- Menus are included in your enrollment packets and are displayed in the lobby and classrooms. Please notify management, in writing, of any food allergies or special dietary needs your child may have. Substitutions are made for allergies and vegetarian diets.
Family Involvement
Communication between caregivers and parents is very important. Your questions and comments are always welcome. We have an “open door” policy – parents are always welcome to stop by and visit! Parent conferences are available upon your request, in addition to the scheduled conferences in November and March. We provide Daily Reports to all families. We use the Brightwheel App for Infants and Toddlers and Procare App for all other students as our communication platform with families. We also ask for email addresses to communicate important information to parents. Classrooms use whiteboards and weekly calendars to provide parents with detailed information regarding daily happenings. Suggestions or any notes to management may be emailed to cuddlezone@ptd.net.
Our Teachers

Staff Requirements:
All Cuddle Zone staff meet PA DHS and Department of Education requirements, with most holding Early Childhood Education degrees and extensive experience.
Staff complete ongoing training each year—including 24+ hours of professional development and certifications in First Aid, Pediatric CPR, Fire Safety, and Mandated Reporter Training—and undergo thorough background and health checks. They stay current with state standards, Keystone STARS, and Pre-K Counts requirements, and use the Environmental Scale to maintain high-quality classroom environments.
Classrooms:
Each classroom has a Lead Teacher, Assistant Teacher and, some have an additional Aide.
