Choosing the right early learning center is a big decision. To help you feel confident, we’ve answered some of the most common questions about safety, teachers, curriculum, and day-to-day policies at The Cuddle Zone.
How do I know my child will be safe at The Cuddle Zone?
Safety is our top priority. We are licensed by both the PA Department of Human Services and the PA Department of Education, and every staff member has full clearances and credentials. Our center is secure, and all classrooms are supervised by qualified teachers and aides at all times.
Are your teachers qualified to teach Pre-K and Kindergarten?
Yes. Each lead teacher holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and our Pre-K Counts teachers are certified. Our staff also participates in ongoing professional development to ensure your child receives the best education possible.
Is your curriculum just play, or will my child be learning?
At The Cuddle Zone, learning and play go hand in hand. Using Creative Curriculum as our framework, our structured, age-appropriate curriculum builds early literacy, math, social, and motor skills while fostering curiosity and the love of learning. Teachers provide lesson plans that are engaging, developmentally appropriate and hands-on based on students needs and interests.
What if my child is absent or arrives late?
Please notify us before 10 a.m. to keep an accurate lunch count. For Pre-K Counts and Kindergarten, a written excuse is required for all absences.
What happens if my child gets sick during the day?
Children showing signs of illness will be sent home promptly. They may return once they are symptom-free for 24 hours. Some conditions may require a doctor’s note.
What immunizations and health forms are required?
All children must meet Pennsylvania’s immunization requirements. Records must be submitted before your child’s start date. Health assessment due within 30 days of enrollment and then updated regularly.
